Generate transmission gearbox models automatically and boost vibro-acoustic performance

Modeling parametric transmissions is time-consuming and cumbersome: gear systems consist of various components such as gears, shafts and bearings. Also capturing all relevant effects (misalignment, gear microgeometry, housing flexibility) adds on to the complexity. Additionally, when applying multibody loads on gearbox vibro-acoustics models, acoustic engineers often deal with multiple platforms and interfaces.

During this webinar, we will present a combined approach to speed up transmission model generation and increase the performance of vibro-acoustic simulations. Using an automatic parametric tool, the required time to build multibody models is reduced by up to 80% and accounts for more complex physical phenomena. Starting from these results, Simcenter 3D offers a fully-integrated single environment to compute and post-process radiated noise more accurately and efficiently.

This end-to-end solution is designed for all 3D CAE user communities, from experts to designers. It allows to address the different vibro-acoustic effects in gearbox and powertrain systems to reduce transmission whine.

You will learn how to:

  • Generate gear transmission models up to 5 times faster.
  • Boost numerical performance with efficient acoustic solvers.
  • Reduce cost and increase productivity by combining motion and vibro-acoustic analyses in a single environment.
