Siemens & Tampere University: TEST & Simulation Seminar

Event | 25 September 2019 8:30 EEST
Korkeakoulunkatu 6, 33101 Tampere, Finland

Join us on September 25th, for the Tampere TEST & Simulation Seminar, an exciting full-day event showing the latest development within TEST and explore the unique combinations of TEST and Simulation, in real life Digital Twins.

Together we will explore how TEST & simulation are contributing to the realization of the Digital Twin and examine how adopting a holistic approach to predictive engineering analytics is essential in developing innovative products that exceed customer expectations.

The recent development within Test & Simulation enables Test and Simulation models to be fully integrated and we can create a Digital Twin. Use the best out of the two worlds and a gain new way of being more effective and precise in product development. We will exemplify and explore the latest development within the domain of TEST coupled to Simulation models

Why should I attend:

Get insights on the latest development within Durability, Test, Model-Based System Testing, Virtual Commissioning, and Virtual Sensing.

  • Understand and explore the benefits of Digital Twins exemplified with combinations of big-data and advanced models for fast machine learning of fatigue problems in complex systems.
  • Learn about end to end Durability Testing, increase the efficiency and reduce the overall cost with up to 40%.
  • Learn how to combine Test and Simulation, how we Test for Simulation, Test with Simulation and how we Simulate for Test.
  • Learn how we can connect models to production lines to increase up-time by virtual commissioning
  • Learn how you can optimize your machine performance, (Energy, productivity, predictive maintenance among others), using system models.
  • Learn about Sound quality and how you can use existing sound-quality measures to make your own brand Sound in an intuitive way.

The methods apply for the Mechanical Industry, Automotive Industry, Aerospace Industry and Energy sector.

Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences constitute the Tampere university community. Our community was created at the beginning of 2019, when the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology were merged establishing the new foundation-based Tampere University that maintains close ties with Tampere University of Applied Sciences. The guiding principles of our community are to combine world-class research and innovation activities, promote multidisciplinary learning and lifelong partnerships, and generate unique expertise in developing applications that benefit industry, business and the public sector.
