HERZLIA, Israel – July 9, 2004 – Tecnomatix Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: TCNO), the driving force in Manufacturing Process Management (MPM), today announced that the current edition of MSI Magazine, in its twelfth annual survey of the world’s leading software vendors, ranks Tecnomatix as #8 in the "Top Ten Plant Operations" segment of its 2004 Top 100 Software Vendors list. This is the first year that MSI has ranked "Plant Operations" vendors in a separate sub-category; among the other companies in this category are such industry powerhouses as Siemens Energy, Rockwell Automation, Emerson Process Management, Invensys, Aspen Technology, and ABB Automation. And in the "Product Lifecycle Management" Top Ten sub-category, Tecnomatix strategic partner UGS Corporation is listed in the #3 position. Rankings for the MSI Top Software Vendors lists are based primarily on annual software license and service revenues for the listed companies. Tecnomatix has consistently placed in the ranks of the MSI Top 100 for the past several years, and is listed at #70 overall in the latest survey. Details about the Top 100 and Top Ten lists can be found in the current (July) issue of MSI Magazine (www.msimag.com). In recognition of its leadership in the MPM arena, Tecnomatix was selected to be profiled in an article titled "Tecnomatix Solidly Poised Inside PLM’s Big Tent". Elsewhere in the issue, MPM’s key role within the product lifecycle management (PLM) industry is analyzed in an in-depth feature ("MPM: Digital Manufacturing Seen as a High Growth PLM Segment"). In this article, which calls MPM "a critical component of the PLM environment", Amir Livne, Tecnomatix executive vice president of business strategy, states that MPM is becoming a "strategic part of PLM rather than just a niche. Companies want to drive the manufacturing considerations upstream as much as possible to increase the flexibility of products and process, and to deliver new products at the right time and cost." "We are, as always, happy to see this recognition of Tecnomatix’s leadership in the manufacturing and production process world," said Jaron Lotan, Tecnomatix president and CEO. "Our continued presence year after year in the MSI Top 100 Software Vendor survey underscores the key role being played by the MPM strategies of the world’s leading enterprises in all of the major industries. From the beginning, Tecnomatix has consistently led the industry in supplying the most comprehensive suite of solutions for MPM, and we are particularly proud to be placed among the world’s top suppliers of plant operations software solutions."
