Part Manufacturing

As one of the stages of product lifecycle management, part manufacturing is the process of following a specialized plan in order to efficiently and consistently fabricate products that meet the goals of their design. From beginning to end, the part manufacturing process incorporates a wide range of tools, software, and skilled labor.

Successfully producing the intended products ultimately depends on the quality and thoroughness of the manufacturing plan. CAD, CAM, CAE, and other types of PLM software are often used to develop and adhere to an effective part manufacturing plan. For example, CAM software can help manufacturers define and simulate wide range of manufacturing methods to find the most efficient path forward.
