Implementing simulation-driven engineering for autonomous vehicle sensors hardware design and optimization

Design goals for autonomous vehicle sensors are largely centered on size and cost reduction without sacrificing high resolution and high range necessary to support various levels of vehicle autonomy. Additionally, these sensors, when integrated into vehicles, must function reliably in an automotive environment and in all-weather conditions. These design and vehicle integration issues affect not only sensor suppliers but also auto OEMs who are ultimately responsible for safety and reliability of autonomous driving in their vehicles.

Learn how to maximize the use of simulation and testing solutions to address essential design and vehicle integration challenges for autonomous vehicle sensors hardware.
