In the oil and gas industry, the integrity of process system components, such as subsea trees, pressure safety valves and chokes is critical for maximizing system performance and uptime and ensuring worker health and safety. Risks to system integrity must be addressed at the design phase and across the full lifecycle of the equipment or system in operation.
In this webinar, Dr. Matt Straw from UK-based consulting company, Norton Straw, demonstrates the value of engineering simulation in both the design and operating phases of a process system in order to quantify, manage and avoid integrity risks associated with process system operation. Dr. Straw provides several real-world examples of simulation techniques that were used to identify and remedy problems related to material selection, vibration, acoustics, and erosion, in process system components.
