Simulation of exhaust aftertreatment
Fossil fuel combustion in both gasoline and diesel engines leads to the production of pollutants released in the atmosphere. Each type of pollutant requires an ad-hoc system, designed to optimize increased efficiency of the emissions reduction strategy and decreased backpressure to improve overall performance.
In this sense, simulation of exhaust aftertreatment is a valuable tool to better understand the complex dynamics and to optimize the whole system.
