PLANO, Texas and NEW DELHI, India, February 11, 2009 - Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced the launch of an Authorized Training Partner program in India. The program intends to expand the resource pool of skilled professionals available in the marketplace through the extended training ecosystem.
Manufacturing companies are increasingly looking at software solutions like CAD, CAM, CAE, and PLM to address the challenge of turning more ideas into successful products, in turn increasing the demand for skilled resources. The Authorized Training Partner program addresses this need for skilled resources by appointing training partners and equipping them with requisite instruction and curriculum on Siemens PLM Software products. The training partners will provide courses at their own training centers to engineering undergraduates, graduates and working professionals. Training partners will also offer certification through Siemens PLM Software designed tests to professionals wishing to prove proficiency.
“Siemens PLM Software has a long standing presence and leadership in India and we continue to bring innovation to the market,” said Hans-Kurt Lubberstedt, executive vice president of Siemens PLM Software, Asia Pacific. “This initiative of supplementing our training capacity with an Authorized Training Partner program further underpins our commitment and dedication towards India and its engineering talents to enhance skill sets to meet the needs of the marketplace.”
“Siemens PLM Software is committed to providing our customers with both the technology and the talent needed to implement robust PLM solutions to enhance innovation,” said Alain Iung, vice president, Asia Pacific Marketing, Siemens PLM Software. “Enabling additional training partners to bring more skilled resources to the market will help companies more easily and effectively expand their use of PLM. The training curriculum will ensure that trainees are exposed to current global best practices in product development processes.”
