TAIPEI – UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced the company has appointed Chuang Yin Chun as appointed as general manager for its Taiwan Operations, responsible for sales, technical support, marketing and operations.
“We are excited to have Chuang Yin Chun on board as UGS’ Taiwan general manager. He possesses comprehensive experience in technical consulting, sales and marketing operations and management,” said Chuck Yuan, managing director and vice president for UGS Greater China, “Our customers in Taiwan will benefit from his experience and customer-centric attitude to further leverage the business benefits of PLM.”
Chun has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining UGS, he served as country manager for PeopleSoft, responsible for sales and operations. During his two-year term, he successfully lead the business and sales teams in constructing IT systems for the financial, hi-tech and manufacturing industries. Prior to his tenure with PeopleSoft, Chun also served as executive vice president for SAP, responsible for creating its pre-sales, training, consulting and technical support teams. Chun also worked in technical and management roles with such companies ass Oracle, ASK and HP. Chun earned a Master of Science degree in management science and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Tam Kang University.
