Digitalization can be applied to any part of the medical device development process—from preliminary and detailed design for predicting product performance, to design transfer, manufacturing and even post-market surveillance. Ultimately, the greatest benefit is derived by having a consistent set of digital models for each stage of the process, with data passed seamlessly from one stage to the next.
