Teamcenter visualization concept capabilities are provided as an add-on to the Teamcenter lifecycle visualization suite; they are made up of the desktop and showroom modules. Concept Desktop enables users to leverage their existing JT data to add greater realism to their digital mockups and surrounding scenes to facilitate communication of designs in a “life-like” fashion. Concept Showroom takes it to the next level with support for fully configurable advanced immersive environments such as a C6 Cave. With the ability to drive multiple displays using PC clusters, Concept Showroom enables viewing of massive models at real scale on displays of virtually any size.
By enabling 1:1 scale realism, Teamcenter VR allows you to assess ergonomic factors such as sight lines, reachability, and clearances -- and resolve design conflicts earlier in your product’s lifecycle. Users can access the same tools available in desktop visualization in the immersive environment to view and analyze the 3D model, at scale, enabling human factors that would be impossible in a 2D environment. In addition, Teamcenter VR makes traditional digital mockup (DMU) operations like interference and clearance analyses, sectioning, and positioning, more intuitive.
Teamcenter VR allows multiple users to come into the same VR room to perform collaborative design reviews where they can visualize, analyze, and markup the product. Similar to a multi-player video gaming experience, you can participate in VR conferences from your desktops without the expense of a VR “dome” or high-end hardware. Teamcenter VR works with low cost mainstream VR devices like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, but even users without VR hardware can participate in the conferences and see the avatars of the immersed participants. All data created during the VR design reviews, including markups and annotations, are saved back to the design structure, and made visible to product stakeholders.
