Extend PLM to customers, partners, and suppliers
Teamcenter facilitates collaboration by including internal and external customers, partners, and suppliers in your global PLM environment. Each site can be connected just like any other PLM site with direct access into the network in a peer-to-peer configuration. However, for more secure and controlled access, Teamcenter provides additional configurations – hub and proxy. Teamcenter also facilitates multisite collaboration where data is restricted to be resident where it is authored, due to local laws.
Multi-site collaboration across geographies
Teamcenter lays the groundwork for large-scale implementation by offering you the flexibility to deploy PLM in phases. Each site, anywhere in the world can implement PLM autonomously, then as the sites decide to coordinate activities, they can set up a connection between sites. This avoids the large amount of early planning and considerable risk involved in the big bang approach required by alternate architectures, where a business is forced to define the entire global PLM implementation up-front.
