새로운 프로그램을 위한 혁신적이며, 협업이 가능한 동기화된 프로그램 관리
PLANO, Texas – UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced that Wanfeng Auto Holding Group (Wanfeng Auto) has selected UGS’ Teamcenter® Express software for its first collaborative product data management (cPDM) system.
A leader in China’s auto industry, Wanfeng Auto is the largest aluminum alloy wheel producer in Asia and one of the top 50 auto parts suppliers in China. In line with its vision “to create a broad international brand and establish an evergreen, learning enterprise,” the company has developed a PLM strategy and selected UGS’ Teamcenter Express software to transform their process of innovation by applying preconfigured best practices to everyday engineering tasks and processes.
“As a forward-looking company, we are constantly seeking new technologies to drive our business,” said Chen Ailian, president, Wanfeng Auto. “UGS presented us PDM software that meets our PLM collaboration requirements. Teamcenter Express can maximize the efficiency of product development by streamlining our engineering processes. In addition, it reduces our overall design cost through secure data management and can be implemented very quickly.”
“During the selection process, we paid close attention to ERP integration as it is important that the new PLM system integrates with our current ERP system efficiently. Not only does Teamcenter Express integrate seamlessly with our current ERP system, its strong capabilities in multi-CAD data management and bill of materials (BOM) configuration are critical to our PLM strategy.”
Teamcenter Express is the cPDM component of the UGS Velocity Series™ portfolio. UGS Velocity Series portfolio also includes Solid Edge® software, Femap™ software and NX™ CAM Express software.
“Facilitating cross-border collaboration among mid-sized companies for complex engineering tasks is mission critical in the competitive China marketplace,” said Chuck Yuan, vice president of Greater China Operations, UGS. “More Asian enterprises are considering PLM solutions as a key business enabler that benefits the company, suppliers and customers. The functionality, flexibility and low cost of implementation for UGS Velocity Series products makes UGS Wanfeng Auto’s partner of choice for proven and scalable PLM solutions.”
Wanfeng Auto purchased Teamcenter Express from Hangzhou Huaruan Technology Co., Ltd., (Huaruan), a UGS channel partner. Huaruan is a subsidiary of Chemical Engineering Mechanics Research Institute dedicated to the development and promotion of computer-aided design CAD/CIMS technology. The company joined the UGS Global Channel Program and currently offers enterprise and mid-market solutions. UGS Channel Partners are positioned to deliver the world’s leading portfolio of integrated PLM solutions.
In order to help accelerate PLM capabilities among mid-market manufacturers in Asia Pacific, UGS formed the Velocity Series Consortium with HP and Intel. The Consortium is dedicated to the development of solutions and services helping manufacturers reduce costs and minimize barriers to innovation. For more information, visit www.vsconsortium.net.
