PLANO, Texas and NEUTRAUBLING, Germany – UGS, a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced that Krones AG -- the world’s largest manufacturer of beverage bottling lines and packaging machinery -- has purchased an additional 250 seats of Solid Edge™, UGS’ industry-leading, value-based 3D computer-aided design (CAD) system for the mainstream PLM market. Krones has been using Solid Edge since 2001.
As part of the PLM project at Krones, the existing 2D CAD systems will be replaced at all five of its German sites.
