Transemic Information Technology Ltd. (Transemic) focuses mainly on the defense industry ‒ specifically on military electronics, which accounts for about 70 percent of its business. The company became a Siemens Digital Industries Software Solution Partner in 2015.
Transemic’s business is expanding with opportunities growing from the “Made in China 2025” initiative to upgrade Chinese industry. Inspired by the “Industry 4.0” plan in Germany, Made in China 2025 aims to apply information technology to production to further innovation. The Chinese effort, drafted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is broader and addresses multiple challenges in a short time period to elevate the efficiency and quality of Chinese producers to the highest ranks of global production chains.
In this environment, Transemic’s partnership with Siemens has been beneficial. “Industry 4.0 gives us very good business development opportunities in China,” says Michael Zang, chairman of Transemic. “Now the direction is that software drives hardware, and in the future, software, which is about 30 percent of the total, may lead hardware’s innovation and changes. It is a challenge for us, but also a business opportunity.”
Transemic values Siemens’ active engagement with partners to work for their mutual benefit. “Siemens focuses a lot of effort on its partners’ business development and shares the achievement and benefits with them,” says Zang.
Because Siemens is at the forefront of Industry 4.0, Transemic can rely on a valuable partner with strong brand equity in digitalizing industry. “The appeal of the Siemens brand empowers us to engage our industry customers and helps us enhance trust in relationships with customers,” Zang says. “By leveraging the appeal of the Siemens brand, I quickly formed my team.”
One of the key benefits of Transemic’s partnership is the extensive training provided by Siemens Digital Industries Software. “I attended Siemens’ ’Challenger’ sales training in 2015,” Zang relates. “It is very good training, and afterwards I requested that my whole team attend Siemens’ ’Challenger’ and ‘Boot Camp’ training. Both help us a lot in our business development.”
The Siemens Digital Industries Software solution portfolio is a key factor in Transemic’s business success. “Last year, we had two very successful customer cases,” says Zang. “Siemens’ products provided total solutions to these electronics customers.” These wins helped Transemic reach Platinum partner status. At the Siemens Digital Industries Software Converge Asia-Pacific partner forum, Transemic was recognized as the Fastest Growing Partner in Greater China for 2016.
