Innovazione e gestione dei programmi sincronizzata e collaborativa per i nuovi programmi
Testing autonomous vehicles and cooperative systems is even harder than testing traditional driver support systems because of networked interactions with other road users, road side equipment and online service providers.
We partner in the development of connected vehicle systems and systems in the fields of cooperative mobility and automated driving by means of consultancy, engineering, evaluation and validation. From desktop simulation software to outdoor testing on closed test tracks and public roads. With our methodology and toolset our customers can develop and verify systems at a much earlier stage and for much smaller investments. We also help governments and regulatory bodies in the development of legislation for cooperative systems. Once legislation has been established, our services can also be used for homologation of V2X systems & components and automated driving.

The complexity in cooperative and automated vehicles increases exponentially compared to traditional vehicles. An integrated tool suite supporting the full development V-cycle is crucial to enable cost and time efficient development processes.
We offer a state of the art simulation platform for active safety and connected systems, which enables data fusion between sensors and communication systems. Testing, ranging in scale from complete traffic networks, down to component level simulation tools. Hardware in the loop testing is necessary for sensor and communication systems, while a dedicated test environment for rapid, safe, and reproducible testing of cooperative and automated vehicles is required to test complete systems. Finally, for validation and performance testing, a test site for urban, interurban and highway environments is available.
The development, validation and verification of systems that make automated driving possible is a challenging and complex process. AD requires a multifaceted development process incorporating a variety of software tools and processes. Based on an extensive audit we can support your journey through the V-cycle. Our methodology and integrated tool suite allows the setup and design of the entire testing and validation process. This customer focused approach helps our customers in building an organization that can handle the required time to market.
We have developed a test method which combines the vehicle under test and the Simcenter Prescan simulation model to allow Mixed-Reality testing. The test conditions in this methodology are simulated in a virtual environment in Simcenter Prescan scenario and directly injected into the vehicle sensor ECU creating a Vehicle-In-the-Loop (ViL) test setup. Our laboratory HiL testing allows for verification and validation of physical ECU hardware components and communication units.
We operate an extensive tool suite for the development, testing and validation of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and cooperative driving technologies. Our A270 in Helmond – The Netherlands is a centrally controlled open test track facility, which is fully equipped for vehicle detection, V2X communication and centimeter level GNSS positioning. This testbed includes automated valet parking and urban, interurban and highway environments. It has a complete 5G and ITS-G5 coverage and is connected to neighboring urban sections and other information sources.
Our test fleet of instrumented vehicles with extendable in-car platforms, are equipped with radar, camera, lidar, DSRC, GPS and 5G. The in-vehicle software toolkit allows rapid creation and testing of application software.
The future of mobility envisions new automated vehicles and infrastructure, enabling new forms of communication between vehicles (V2V) and between vehicles and the outside world (V2I). Interoperability between these systems require new and stricter regulations that can guarantee safety for the road user. We support the global automotive industry in creating safer and smarter transport systems by playing an important role in the creation of test procedures. As an independent accredited party in the mobility branch we are also able to execute vehicle as well infrastructure type approval tests (smart traffic lights, traffic control systems, etc.).
Current test-tracks are typically designed for single vehicle tests such as, durability, noise vibration & harshness (NVH) and vehicle dynamics tests, but typically lack capabilities for testing automated driving capabilities. With our extensive knowledge of designing and building our own A270 connected and automated proving ground, our knowledge of ADAS testing and simulation and successful projects such as the American Center for Mobility we are fully equipped to support you in the development process, from business case to the actual built of your future ready proving ground.
Offering an integrated methodology for design exploration and evaluation of connected automated mobility systems.
