Innovazione e gestione dei programmi sincronizzata e collaborativa per i nuovi programmi
NUREMBERG, Germany and PLANO, Texas, March 16, 2010 - Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced ads-tec GmbH, provider of robust IT solutions and products for the industrial sector, selected Teamcenter® software, the world’s most widely used PLM system, for product data management.
Teamcenter, which enables ads-tec to centrally manage all its product data, is currently being used in ads-tec’s ‘Computer & Network’ unit, which handles the development and sale of IT infrastructures and products, such as tablet PCs and terminals. The company also plans to migrate its ‘Machines & Systems’ unit in the automation division to Teamcenter.
"Teamcenter, which replaces existing legacy solutions, is the first commercial software we have used as a standard system for product lifecycle and process data management," said Markus Speidel, CEO, ads-tec. "From a strategic perspective, Teamcenter is the best solution for ads-tec. First, it provides us with requirements management features, and second, we can easily manage all product data via its open architecture.”
ads-tec plans to use Teamcenter for mechanical construction and for electronics and software development activities. Teamcenter provides ads-tec with a PLM solution to master complex development processes and ensure the quality of product data. Teamcenter also supports requirements management features for customers, markets and products.
"The fact that, with our partner CAE Consulting, we were able to prove to ads-tec the merits of Teamcenter, is confirmation that Teamcenter is a beneficial tool for any size business,” said Martien Merks, senior vice president and managing director, Germany, Siemens PLM Software. "Teamcenter focuses on our customers' requirements with precision and gives ads-tec an end-to-end PLM solution that can be extended to cover future developments."
