Mold design and conformal cooling optimization through simulation and control of production process
Conformal cooling is employed in industry to rapidly and uniformly cool molds. Traditional manufacturing methods restricted the cooling geometry to straight channels. With additive manufacturing the mold designer can rethink and optimise the cooling configuration of the mold enabling greater control of the thermal cycle reducing the production cycle.
