Automotive electrical/electronic development of the future
Automakers today face multiple challenges in their electric vehicle (EV) development, such as designing attractive cars that customers desire, production at scale to maintain profitability, keeping their operations running, and having the ability to invest in those operations to maintain competitiveness. Join us with Migo Richter, Market Development Director – Siemens EDA, and Doug Burcicki, Global Director Automotive & Transportation – Integrated Electrical Systems, as they discuss the end-to-end solutions that help you make reliable decisions while developing new electrical/electronic (E/E) architecture designs.
The underlying E/E architecture has evolved gradually over time. Today you can see vehicles produced at scale, profitably, and cars that people want to own. This webinar will cover electric vehicle E/E systems architecture changes within 5-10 years. We will also discuss the current trends within the E/E system development, such as the customer demand for infotainment, user experience with increased functionality, and the ability to update their cars “on-demand.” Other topics in this webinar include:
Migo Richter
Market Development Director – Siemens EDA, Siemens Digital Industries Software
Migo Richter has spent more than 25 years working in the development of software products for wire harness engineering, production preparation, production (KSK, MES), customer service, and data exchange (KBL, VEC) in the automotive industry (OEMs and their Tier1) globally. In 2019, Migo joined Siemens to drive the technical aspects of Cloud/SaaS development for Siemens Integrated Electrical Systems (IES) products. Today, Migo is a part of the global market development team for automotive and transportation at Siemens EDA, focusing on EV and the German Automotive Industry.
Doug Burcicki
Global Director Automotive & Transportation – Integrated Electrical Systems, Siemens Digital Industries Software
Doug Burcicki is the Sr. Director of the Integrated Electrical Systems Global Automotive team at Siemens Digital Industries Software. Before Siemens, Doug was Director, Advanced Business Development at Yazaki, a globally focused role in which he was responsible for identifying Product and Technology trends resultant from Market, Regulatory and Economic indicators. He established a global process for prioritization of R&D projects, resources, and investment instead of disparate regional strategies and built the business case to enable and support new portfolio development. Before this, Doug was Vice President of the Yazaki General Motors BU, responsible for global P&L, sales strategy, and overall customer relationship, driving significant success at the account. Doug holds a Masters in Automotive Engineering from Lawrence Technological University, MAE, and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Wayne State University, BSEE.
