Innovation et gestion de programmes synchronisée et collaborative pour les nouveaux programmes
PLANO, Texas, April 11, 2012 - Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced that it received from UBM Channel, the premier provider of IT channel-focused events, media, research, consulting and sales and marketing services, its CRN 5-Star Partner rating for the sixth year in a row, and that Kerry Grimes, Siemens PLM Software’s Vice President for Global Solution Partner Sales, received his fifth consecutive Channel Chief Award.
Siemens PLM Software was recognized as one of North America’s top information technology (IT) vendors in terms of the channel partner program it offers to solution providers who sell its products and services to end users. Siemens PLM Software was certified as a 5-Star Partner, acknowledging its commitment to partners and the strength of programs offered for IT integrators, resellers and consultants. The recognition places Siemens PLM Software’s Channel Partner Program among the industry’s best programs offered by the world’s top enterprise software companies.
The CRN 5-Star Partner rating recognizes an exclusive subset of vendors who give solution providers the best partnering elements in their channel programs. The 5-Star Partner rating is bestowed on those vendor programs whose overall rating is among the elite. This lets solution providers know who is offering the best partner programs and allows them to see some of the distinguishing attributes.
“The companies listed in CRN’s 2012 Partner Programs Guide represent a comprehensive list of the best channel programs in the market today,” said Kelley Damore, VP and Editorial Director, for UBM Channel’s CRN. “The 5-star award is reserved for vendors that understand that a successful partnership does not rely solely on the technology. By offering their partners tools, education and regular updates, vendors on this list go above and beyond traditional support to ensure a mutually beneficial partnership.”
The 2012 Partner Programs Guide and 5-Star Partners listing will be featured on CRN.com and in the March 2012 issue of CRN.
As part of the evaluation, UBM Channel’s CRN reviewed Siemens PLM Software’s Channel Partner Program 2011 activities and interviewed channel partners to determine how well the company met the needs of its partners.
In 2011, Siemens PLM Software launched its Channel Sales Representative certification program and instituted a channel manager training program to help its channel leaders become better business consultants and assist its partners in growing their business more profitably. Siemens PLM Software also launched a new Siemens Partner Rewards Program which recognizes top performers.
“The superior quality of Siemens PLM Software’s Channel Partner Program enables our business to grow and profit due to its industry best practice support, and partnership structure,” said Saeed Paydarfar, PhD, CEO of Saratech Inc. “The team at Siemens PLM Software demonstrate their commitment to both our customers’ success and our business success on a daily basis with enablement resources and the collaborative spirit we need to be effective in today’s competitive environment. We congratulate Siemens PLM Software on this well-deserved 5-Star Partner recognition and we’re honored to be one of their partners.”
“We are seeing strong, accelerating contributions from our indirect channel. In the first quarter our total indirect license revenues grew more than 20 percent year over year and the indirect channel now represents nearly 40 percent of our total software license revenue,” said Grimes. “Our goal of growing our channel business faster than our direct business is being achieved. Our business model to improve our channel participation every year continues to show a lot of momentum. In fact, the percentage of our business coming from indirect sales has climbed each year since 2005, demonstrating strong acceptance of our channel program in the customer markets they serve. To be recognized for the continual success of our channel program is certainly gratifying.”
In addition to the 5-Star Partner ranking received by Siemens PLM Software, UBM Channel also honored Grimes with its CRN Channel Chief Award, placing Grimes in a select group of executives who represent the highest echelon of channel management -- heading up the partner programs solution providers depend on to run their business. CRN’s Channel Chief program is based on a survey of channel executives covering topics such as years of service, size of their channel programs, 2011 accomplishments and their partner priorities for the coming year.
