How simulation is used to streamline electric/hybrid vehicles engineering and design

Physically developing and performing trials on electrical vehicles and its main components - electrical machines and battery packs is an expensive and resource intensive process that only large funded organization and laboratories have the facilities to perform successfully.

In this webinar, we would like to address how simulation would assist in developing a thermally efficient system minimizing the research, analysis, trials and experiments to analyze the behavior of systems. We need a strongly coupled resolution of flow, heat transfer and electrochemistry for batteries and flow, heat transfer and electromagnetics for electrical machines to provide the best possible prediction, in order to maintain the integrity of the system and identifying potential problems at an early stage.

In all, it is becoming more imperative to analyze individual components and the system as a whole through simulation, to capture the complexity of the system whilst addressing the thermal management before building a physical system.
