Simcenter Flotherm XT is a unique, award-winning thermal simulation solution combining the DNA of market-leading Simcenter Flotherm thermal analysis software with concurrent computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology from Simcenter FLOEFD. Simcenter Flotherm XT handles large, complex electronic systems with ease, cutting process times significantly compared to traditional general-purpose solutions, so mechanical engineers and thermal specialists can quickly create the optimum thermal design.

A full geometric and non-geometric SmartParts library provides users with a full set of the most popular components for fast, accurate model creation. Simcenter Flotherm XT works directly with native MCAD geometry, supporting arbitrary non-aligned and curved geometry for non-standard form factors, novel heatsink designs, angled PCBs, radial blowers, etc.

The EDA Bridge module offers an easy-to-use and intuitive direct interface to Mentor Xpedition, while ODB++ and IPC2581 formats support Cadence, Zuken and Altium; thus, helping you save time by using existing EDA data regardless of how the original design was created.
