LDorado uses electrical and topological data, to create fully engineered wiring harness drawings. Changes performed on the master wiring harness are immediately available in the derivatives or KSK modules, due to data traceability. LDorado is a wide-ranging tool created to support engineers. It provides an intuitive design environment, support for company-defined IP design rule checks, simple definition of formboard drawings, bills of materials, drawing comparisons, automated change documentation, and much more. LDorado also provides detailed costing functionality which enables the flexible definition and support of customer-specific manufacturing information and rules (for example, scheduling of timelines). As part of the calculations, harness data can be imported in KBL format from the upstream processes, and each element of the wiring harness calculated with the correct production time and quantity of material according to pre-defined rules.
