Reporting and Analytics

Customized dashboards in our solution provide aerospace and defense companies with greater visibility across the enterprise as well as a new level of traceability that reduces errors and prevents the late discovery of issues. Advanced analytics, made possible by combining Internet of Things (IoT) data from assets in the field (the “Physical Twin”) with engineering insight (from the “Digital Twin”) improve product availability and performance.

Over the years, aerospace and defense companies have made substantial investments in their IT infrastructure, ranging from packaged enterprise applications (such as ERP, MRP, SFA, CRM, SCM, PDM, PLM, etc.) to legacy systems. Often deployed at the tactical level in a piecemeal fashion, these systems created “islands of information.” As a result, most companies make business decisions from an isolated point of view without visibility into the entirety of knowledge contained within these systems.

The aerospace and defense industry needs dashboard reports that can pull data from existing systems. This will enable traceability across the entire development process, from requirements and early concepts to product realization. The industry also needs advanced analytics at every phase of a product’s life, from design and development to manufacturing, delivery, and use. Complexity increases at each of these phases, along with the amount of data that must be collected, processed and analyzed.

Our solution helps companies leverage the Internet of Things to collect information from the assets in the field and create a physical twin of the product. Combining this information with engineering data contained within the product lifecycle management system (the “Digital Twin”) will provide the insight needed to achieve a competitive advantage.
