How Indian Industrial equipment manufacturers can target Global market leveraging digitalization
Organized by ACMA Western Region in association with Siemens Industry Software India
It is well known that India is emerging as a global hub for automotive manufacturing and component sourcing. Presence of a large pool of skilled & semi-skilled workforce, together with a cost-effective manufacturing base supports the Indian ecosystem in competing with operations in Europe & Latin America. In order to continue maintaining an edge over their peers, the Indian automotive suppliers need to evolve into entities that leverage benefits of the ecosystem, while proactively building their internal capabilities. With domestic OEM manufacturers expecting a greater flexibility and closer engagement, and global OEMs expecting quick responsiveness and adherence to international quality standards, the supplier community will need to adapt to the diverse expectations of their customers. The lower tier suppliers will particularly receive attention over the next several years as OEMs expect their tier-I suppliers to become strategic partners and take responsibility for and manage their tier II and tier III suppliers.
To cater to abovementioned expectations and improve manufacturing capabilities, suppliers need to view their operations holistically – aiming to achieve full visibility into manufacturing processes. One of the most effective way to realize this is through digitalization. Digital twin of production areas can optimize production performance to improve efficiency, flexibility, and time-to-market. Manufacturers with fully digitalized processes are better equipped to rapidly respond to market changes and disruptive innovation.
Join us for the 2nd edition of Road Ahead for the Indian Automotive Industry conference, titled “Leveraging the Digital Twin to achieve full visibility into manufacturing processes” to learn more about streamlining manufacturing operations. At the conference, you will get the opportunity to listen to the perspectives of industry leaders, as they explain the components of state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
