Mastering platform electrical systems integration with model-based design
This webinar explores how to connect the conceptual Systems Modeling Language (SysML) models with the implementation models for the electrical, electronic, software and network (E/E) engineering domains.
Bringing together all platform electrical, network, software and electronics content in a predictable, efficient and profitable way is a key challenge in transitioning to a modern, model-based engineering environment. We will examine the leap from ‘what’ the system must do to ‘how’ the system does it.
Using a robust, repeatable methodology, you can enable re-use, architecture deployment and optimization smoothly. Digital engineering assets can be generated for software (SW), hardware (HW), network (NW) and electrical that will help achieve unprecedented productivity and first-time quality. Investment in model-based electrical design and integration will help you to:
When you transform multi-domain system models into domain-specific E/E design proposals, you gain control to minimize the risk of poor designs and the power to reduce the lengthy, costly development cycles.
Rich Morrell is a senior product manager for Capital at Siemens. Capital is a comprehensive E/E systems development solution. It is used to efficiently engineer today's smart products. Capital covers the design, manufacture and service of electrical systems as well as encompassing E/E system and software architectures, network communications and embedded software development.
Rich holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University and master’s degrees in systems engineering, engineering management and business administration from Penn State University. He has experience as a systems engineer developing avionics equipment.
Before joining Siemens, Rich was an early evaluator and adopter of Capital at Boeing. He led deployments of the software, established best practices and was the enterprise architect for the Capital Systems development and deployment.
Join Rich in this webinar to explore the benefits of a model-based design approach to platform electrical systems integration.
