URDORF, Switzerland, December 22, 2008 - Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced the appointment of Steffen Buchwald as vice president in charge of a reorganized operating region which now includes Czech Republic and Poland along with Switzerland and Austria. In addition Daniel Sengstag was appointed as the new country manager for Switzerland.
“The goal is to maintain the successful growth in Switzerland and Austria while at the same time opening up the excellent development potential in the Czech Republic and Poland,” said Buchwald. “With the expanded scope there are opportunities to establish successful sales strategies in the East European countries and create the foundation for sustainable business success.”
Steffen Buchwald has served Siemens PLM Software since 2000 and has been the vice president for Switzerland and Austria since 2006. He earned a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Magdeburg.
Daniel Sengstag has served Siemens PLM Software Switzerland since 2000 and has led the Professional Services department there since 2004, contributing to the success of the Swiss subsidiary. Daniel Sengstag is a graduate mechanical engineer and has successfully completed an executive Master of Business Administration.
Christoph Renker succeeds Sengstag as the director of Professional Services. He has been employed in the company for more than 10 years and has successfully supported the area of Professional Services during this time.
