PLANO, Texas -- PLM World Inc and EDS today announced companies using product lifecycle management (PLM) products from EDS will have a valuable opportunity to share knowledge and best practices while learning about new PLM technologies, pro ducts and solutions at the PLM World conference, which will be held April 28-May 2, 2003 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.
The gathering will draw users from the world's largest PLM community, which was formed by the integration of the former Unigraphics and SDRC businesses wit hin EDS. This annual user's conference offers a unique chance for EDS customers to share their experiences in improving productivity and transforming their businesses while working with EDS' full portfolio of integrated solutions for product design, knowledge-based engineering, analysis, visualization, manufacturing, maintenance and enterprise-wide collaboration. Over 200 technical presentations, along with workroom environments and over 70 free hands-on training opportunities, will satisfy a broad range of user interests while also allowing attendees to explore new technologies that complement and add value to their existing PLM implementations.
Another important component of this event is the opportunity for attendees to meet with EDS senior developers and support staff and provide input and direction on future product enhancements. The presentations, discussions, training and customer forums will cover a full array of PLM solutions, including Unigraphics® NX, I-deas® NX Series, Teamcenter®, E-factory™ and industry and domain solutions. A vendor trade fair expands the benefits of attending by offering attendees the opportunity to explore a variety of new tools and service providers that complement EDS' PLM applications. In addition to the special-interest breakout meetings, general sessions will focus on achieving success through innovation, creativity and collaboration. Members will hear from an array of keynote speakers sharing their views on these topics. The roster includes: Tony Affuso, president of EDS PLM Solutions; Sanjay Parthasarathy, corporate vice president, Microsoft Strategy and Business Development Group; Ray Kurzweil, inventor, entrepreneur, author and futurist; Dick Rutan, renowned aviator and designer; and Russ Wicks, who will soon pilot a revolutionary new water craft designed to exceed 400 MPH.
