Shenzhen UINFOR Software Co., Ltd. (UINFOR) is a digital solutions provider operating in the Chinese electronics and semiconductor industry. It helps customers fully realize comprehensive digitalization strategies and optimize manufacturing operations management (MOM). UINFOR specializes in Opcenter™ Execution Electronics software for manufacturing execution systems (MES), part of the Siemens Xcelerator business platform of software, hardware and services. UINFOR supports its customers by improving their end-to-end production visibility and quality control.

With 15 years of experience in intelligent manufacturing, UINFOR understands the challenges customers face when beginning a digitalization transformation. Many customers lack an understanding of the financial resources and skills they need, a clear strategy and knowledge of how to support such a project.

UINFOR offers clients services designed to overcome these obstacles. The consultation process is a high-value opportunity for clients to engage with its digitalization experts and discuss their vision and overall digital transformation strategy. UINFOR’s team explains the benefits of pursuing a robust and scalable digitalization plan, including improved production management, and shows how it can accommodate various cost scenarios. Additionally, it often advocates establishing dedicated digitalization teams to help ensure a smooth implementation process.

UINFOR also offers delivery services that include designing a digitalization blueprint, explaining how to best leverage and implement digital solutions such as Opcenter. Further, the company provides operations and maintenance services and access to the UINFOR Lecture Hall where it delivers continuous technical training.

“UINFOR is committed to exploring the new digital manufacturing of industrial enterprises, building a complete set of digital factory solutions with MES as the core to meet the requirements for industrial manufacturing enterprises,” says Yuan Liang, chairman and general manager of UINFOR.

UINFOR achieved its Siemens Expert Partner recognition by specializing in Opcenter. Customers often scrutinize previous implementation scenarios and technical capabilities when selecting their solutions provider. Siemens Expert Partner status provides customers with confidence they are in good hands. UINFOR has demonstrated its advanced knowledge and experience implementing Opcenter solutions by building collaborative and optimized scheduling systems for a variety of customers.

Using Opcenter to minimize material waste

A leader in the new energy power battery industry started its digitalization process by making significant advances in the automation of some production processes. However, it still lacked easy access to production information and relied on outdated production process management, which led to material waste and inefficient operations. This company approached UINFOR due to its reputation in the industry and documented successes for similar implementations.

During the consultation phase, UINFOR identified several critical areas that needed immediate improvement. For example, standardizing product specifications and improving the quality of production data could improve production planning and tracking, onsite work-in-process (WIP) inventory management and material management.

UINFOR recommended Opcenter Execution Electronics due to its capabilities to track the storage and movement of materials and its operations and scheduling features. As a result, the company leveraged Opcenter to help provide transparency and product traceability to eliminate material waste due to inefficient usage.

Product tracking enabled the customer to capture accurate real-time data that helped optimize the production schedule and maximize efficiency at each stage of the production process, with equipment utilization rates improving by 15 percent.

“We are committed to helping our clients build intelligent factories in the new energy vehicle industry and establish digital enterprise platforms for the entire value chain,” says Liang.

UINFOR plans to continue supporting the digitalization of industrial enterprises, helping customers to fully realize the benefits of digitalization.

“We will continue to work with Siemens to make joint contributions to the innovative development of domestic industries and the successful digital transformation of global industrial manufacturing,” says Liang.
