Integrated product architecture is critical to cross-domain product development

You can think of product architecture in much the same way as building architecture.  No one can imagine starting a building without a set of architectural plans and blue prints to work from before starting the project, so we shouldn’t be surprised when things go wrong with products that are without a product architecture plan. Product architecture establishes the arrangement of product components. Without this arrangement, you don’t have the information needed to put together a cohesive product.
