Innovation and collaborative, synchronized program management for new programs
PLANO, Texas, April 11, 2012 - Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced that it received from UBM Channel, the premier provider of IT channel-focused events, media, research, consulting and sales and marketing services, its CRN 5-Star Partner rating for the sixth year in a row, and that Kerry Grimes, Siemens PLM Software’s Vice President for Global Solution Partner Sales, received his fifth consecutive Channel Chief Award.
Siemens PLM Software was recognized as one of North America’s top information technology (IT) vendors in terms of the channel partner program it offers to solution providers who sell its products and services to end users. Siemens PLM Software was certified as a 5-Star Partner, acknowledging its commitment to partners and the strength of programs offered for IT integrators, resellers and consultants. The recognition places Siemens PLM Software’s Channel Partner Program among the industry’s best programs offered by the world’s top enterprise software companies.
The CRN 5-Star Partner rating recognizes an exclusive subset of vendors who give solution providers the best partnering elements in their channel programs. The 5-Star Partner rating is bestowed on those vendor programs whose overall rating is among the elite. This lets solution providers know who is offering the best partner programs and allows them to see some of the distinguishing attributes.

As part of the evaluation, UBM Channel’s CRN reviewed Siemens PLM Software’s Channel Partner Program 2011 activities and interviewed channel partners to determine how well the company met the needs of its partners.
In 2011, Siemens PLM Software launched its Channel Sales Representative certification program and instituted a channel manager training program to help its channel leaders become better business consultants and assist its partners in growing their business more profitably. Siemens PLM Software also launched a new Siemens Partner Rewards Program which recognizes top performers.

CRN’s Channel Chief program is based on a survey of channel executives covering topics such as years of service, size of their channel programs, 2011 accomplishments and their partner priorities for the coming year.
