Siemens PLM Software Launches Innovative Rental Subscription Model for Solid Edge Usage in Japan

TOKYO, May 13, 2011 – Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced Solid Edge DesignPad software, an innovative new business initiative in Japan that makes available its mainstream CAD solution, Solid Edge® software with synchronous technology, through an annual rental subscription contract. An easy to use on-line ordering system enables companies and individuals in Japan to instantly obtain full usage of the core modeling, assembly and drafting functions of Solid Edge ST3, providing a highly flexibility and economical usage model.
