PLANO, Texas -- EDS today announced the selection of its Solid Edge® compute r-aided design (CAD) software by automotive parts supplier Wuxi Risho Technology Co. Ltd., a joint venture business between Tokai Rika Co., Ltd. (Japan) and Hsi n Chong International Investment Ltd. (Taiwan). Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed. Wuxi Risho purchased 30 licenses of Solid Edge as their enterprise CAD standard platform. The company will use Solid Edge to design parts and accessories for au tomotive seat belts, child safety seats, baby safety seats and other products. W uxi Risho selected Solid Edge after evaluating several CAD systems for their eas e of use, low cost of ownership and the corporate strengths of EDS. Wuxi Risho joins several other Hsin Chong companies using Solid Edge. Hsing Chong companies are now using more than 100 seats of Solid Edge across different divisions.
