Alliance Gaming Corp. / Bally Gaming and Systems Selects EDS Teamcenter Software and ExperteamSM Services as its Company Standard for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

PLANO, Texas – EDS today announced Bally Gaming and Systems, a business uni t of Alliance Gaming Corporation (NYSE: AGI) and an industry leader in the produ ction of slot machines and casino management systems for the global gaming marke t, has selected Teamcenter -- EDS’ flagship product data management softwar e suite -- to manage and control its entire product lifecycle process. Bally Gaming and System’s selection of Teamcenter as its company standard m arks the first gaming industry client for EDS product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions and continues EDS’ success in aggressively pursuing new industri es for its PLM offerings. EDS attributes this success to Teamcenter’s flexi bility in solving a wide variety of complex problems for a diverse set of produc t-oriented companies outside of its traditional PLM client base. Teamcenter is the world’s most widely used suite of PLM software providing a digital enterprise backbone and uniting product knowledge with process innovat ion to deliver business value. As part of the second quarter contract, terms of which were not disclosed, Bally Gaming and Systems will use Teamcenter to enhan ce product development collaboration and project management throughout the compa ny. In addition, Bally will utilize Experteam services to assist with Teamcenter tra ining, support and implementation. In addition to today’s announcement, EDS recently announced two other Te amcenter contracts representing the company’s initial PLM clients in their respective industries. On April 2, EDS announced a contract with New Look, EDS&# 146; first PLM client in retail; and on April 28, EDS announced a PLM contract w ith H.B. Fuller, marking the first such client in the chemical industry. EDS attributes part of its successful expansion across industries to its ability to provide open PLM solutions tailored to the specific needs of multiple client s with varying requirements.
