UGS PLM Solutions’ Technology Powers American Challenge’s Pursuit of World Water Speed Record

PLANO, Texas -- Don’t blink or you’ll miss it, record book and victory line: Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software from UGS PLM Solutions, the p roduct lifecycle management (PLM) subsidiary of EDS, is helping American Challen ge, Inc. (ACI) push its watercraft into record-breaking history faster than ever before. UGS PLM Solutions today announced a technical sponsorship agreement with ACI ena bling the team to increase its pace toward the ambitious goal of developing a tu rbine-powered watercraft capable of returning the World Water Speed Record (WWSR ) to American shores. World-record holder Russ Wicks is the founder and pilot of ACI and is already in cluded in the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest person on water in a prope ller driven craft. He is one of only a handful of people to have traveled over 200 mph on both land and water.
