UGS Introduces NX Simulation Process Studio

PLANO, Texas– UGS, a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced NX Simulation Process Studio – enabling customers and users of all levels to easily automate repetitive digital simulation tasks while leveraging specialist knowledge and best practices.

Available with the release of UGS NX 3 in the third quarter of 2004, NX Simulation Process Studio leverages the combined strengths of NX, UGS’ digital product development solution, and Teamcenter®,the company’s industry-leading integrated portfolio of PLM solutions,to provide an enhanced foundation for digital product development.

Expert analysts are able to use NX Simulation Process Studio to encapsulate complex processes in a way that enables non-specialists to safely and effectively benefit from the same technology. NX Simulation Process Studio is specifically designed to help companies increase the effective use of engineering simulation, enabling better, more informed decisions to be made throughout the digital development process. By combining UGS’ software and best practice knowledge into a more automated and managed methodology, customers will be able to significantly reduce the effort and risks associated with repeatable processes and tasks. Identification and re-use of such processes are vital to the success of many industry initiatives such as lean design and design for Six Sigma.
