UGS Recognizes European Partners for Bringing PLM to the Mid-Market

LONDON – UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced the implementation of its new Global Partner Program in Europe and recognized the company’s top European resellers.

UGS recently gathered the company’s sales partners from its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region at a Channel Partner kickoff, recruiting and training event in Vienna to deliver on the two key commitments of its mid-market strategy announced last September – the implementation of its new Global Channel Partner Program and the shipment of its UGS Velocity Series™ portfolio.

In addition to the sessions delivered by UGS executives – including UGS Chairman, CEO and President Tony Affuso who attended the event – on business perspectives and engagements, the company provided updates on the latest product enhancements, marketing support, training and best practices to more than 100 partner companies.

Analyst Monica Schnitger, senior vice president Market analysis, Daratech, Inc., says “UGS is clearly displaying thought leadership as they expand their current channel program into a value-based, global program…they are obviously listening to partners and responding to their needs.”

Various European resellers were rewarded for their exceptional work in helping mid-sized companies successfully implement PLM.

  • Cutting Edge, a UK reseller of 10 years with UGS, was awarded the “UK Reseller of the Year” as well as the “Outstanding Customer Satisfaction Award” for their EMEA-leading performance in this important area.
  • ISAP was named “Best German Reseller” based in part on its successful sale of the new TeamcenterTM Express PLM solution made within just days of its release to the market late last year.

Scalable Partner Program Framework

The new UGS Global Channel Partner Program is designed to meet the needs of diverse global partners and enable them to grow their businesses profitably. In addition to effective customer acquisition and marketing tools, as well as training and certification resources, the program offers a framework to reward partners:

  • Scalable Margin Structure: three levels of scaled benefits by business model and revenue.
  • Points for Profit: additional margin for executing best practices.
  • Quarterly Growth Incentive: additional margin for quarter-over-quarter revenue growth.
  • New Customer Growth Incentive: additional margin for acquiring new customers.
  • Market Development Funds (MDF): additional joint marketing funds for local promotional activities.
  • Services and Maintenance: rewarding margin structure for customer maintenance contracts and professional services.
  • Authorized Training Program: additional margin for reselling and/or delivering customer training.
