Siemens PLM Engineering Academy
An engineering academy provides real-world training for prospective engineers while still in school or college/university. Students receive on-the-job experience by shadowing and learning from employees in different industries. This is supplemented with intensive classroom training. It encourages young people to pursue careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math). Students can take pre-engineering courses while still in school and explore the possibilities of a career in these technical areas that typically have high demand.
After graduation, students have opportunities to obtain full-time positions with engineering industry related company easier. Some companies even establish engineering academies within high schools (through local school districts) to encourage young people to pursue careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math). Students can take pre-engineering courses while still in high school and explore the possibilities of STEM-related careers – which are known for generally high demand and attractive salaries.
