OMNICAD was founded in Turin, Italy, has been in existence as a product and company since 1991. The company’s stated original goal, and still continues to be the same some twenty years later is this: to offer innovations and solutions specific to the Automotive Die market. Our explicit focus on Die surface development, our knowledge of the Die Industry, and how we tailor our workflows, solutions and products continue to be our go to market differentiators. As a result, we are privileged to have some of the premier Automotive Stamping customers around the world, including FIAT, Chrysler, Autodie, and Toyota.

Solutions Overview

As we engage with Die customers around the world, our observations are as follows: - Today’s CAD solutions have a very broad and expanded focus, and often do not pay attention or tailor solutions to the Die market. - CAE Systems, although having developed some material and mathematical models to enhance predictive capability, often fail to “bring back” CAE results (via meshes) automatically to CAD systems. OMNICAD is uniquely positioned to solve this issue. Our two flagship modules: Die Surface Design (DSD) and OMNITransformer modules have been developed and enhanced to address these specific needs. DSD offers complete automation of Class A Quality Die Surface development for Complex Parts, including the ability to develop Rapid, High Quality Addendum’s and Binders, to close Holes rapidly, and Overdraw/Overcrown surfaces. OMNITransformer modules have the ability to morph and update existing geometry while quickly visualizing their impact.

The Synergy

The partnership with Siemens NX enables the OMNICAD solution to be offered as part of the entire Siemens value chain to customers. While Siemens brings some broad platform capabilities, the OMNICAD solution, with it’s focus and devotion to the Die market, enables this niche offering to solve complex Springback problems.
