Stephen M. (Steve) Bashada is senior vice president of Industry Strategy for Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division.
Steve and his team are responsible for capturing vertical industry-specific PLM requirements and best practices and for defining the company’s industry strategy and solutions, as well as providing Industry packaging and delivery across Industry segments.
Prior to his current role, Bashada served as vice president of Teamcenter – a position he assumed in 2001 following the merger of Engineering Animation, Inc. (EAI) and Unigraphics Solutions. He continued in this position through subsequent acquisitions and mergers that led to the formation of UGS, which became Siemens PLM Software when it was acquired by Siemens in 2007.
Bashada joined EAI in December 1998 as the director of marketing and was promoted to vice president of marketing in August 1999. He was named vice president and general manager of Open Enterprise Visualization Solutions in November 1999, assuming responsibility for development, marketing, and business operations. While at EAI, Bashada played a key role in the positioning of EAI's visual enterprise process management solutions, development of the marketing and development organizations, and the launch of a variety of collaboration and visualization solutions.
Prior to joining EAI, Bashada served as the President of the Applications Development Division of Sterling Software, and as senior vice president of operations for KnowledgeWare, a $160 million company. In this position, Bashada was in charge of product development, marketing, customer support and training. He also worked for 10 years with Amdahl Corp. in the sales support, development, and telecom network solutions departments.
Bashada earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University.
