Siemens PLM Software offers data management for the CAM user, with full revision control. This can replace the separate directories on local disc drives with centralized storage of NC programming data.

Users can save and retrieve optimized NC data configurations for specific jobs, including part information, set-up and tooling data, and shop documentation output from the NC programming session. It ensures that the right data, correct tooling, and right NC tape or machine file are deployed, resulting in reduced delays and costs due to typical information errors.

The system uses Teamcenter technology and can be extended to provide tool and fixture library/ data management and classification as well as applications for part process planning.
