Parasolid Supported Platforms

Parasolid Designer, Parasolid Editor, Parasolid Communicator and Parasolid Educator are supported on the following platforms:

Microsoft Windows

• Intel x86 with SSE2(R): Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, running on Intel Pentium 4, Xeon, Core, Core 2 or Core i7, or AMD Athlon 64 and Opteron. Parasolid uses SSE2(R) instructions for higher performance.
• X64: Windows XP x64 edition, 64-bit Vista or 64-bit Windows 7, running on any AMD or Intel 64-bit x86 processor.
• .NET: A .NET interface is provided to allow the use of Parasolid in .NET programs for all Windows platforms listed above

Linux

• Intel x86: SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 and 11, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and 6, or any compatible Linux supporting the ISO 23360 (LSB 3.1) standards, running on Intel Pentium Pro or later, or AMD Athlon or later.
• X64: SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 and 11, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and 6, or any compatible Linux supporting the ISO 23360 (LSB 3.1) standards, running on any AMD or Intel 64-bit x86 processor.

Macintosh

• x86: Mac OS X 10.5 or later, running on Intel-based Macintosh computers, for 32-bit applications.
• X64: Mac OS X 10.5 or later, running on Intel-based 64-bit Macintosh computers, for 64-bit applications.

UNIX

• HP-UX: HP-UX 11.0 or later on PA-RISC, for 64-bit applications.
• Solaris: Oracle Solaris 10 or later, running on UltraSPARC, for 64-bit applications.
• AIX: IBM AIX 5.3 or later, running on RS6000/POWER, for 32- or 64-bit applications.

Symmetric multi-processing

SMP is supported on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X platforms.
