Chuck Grindstaff est Vice-président Exécutif chez Siemens PLM Software, une unité de Siemens Industry Automation Division. Il est responsable des produits stratégiques et de la stratégie de l'entreprise en matière de fusions et d'acquisitions. Son équipe est responsable de tous les produits Siemens PLM Software, en termes de création, d'amélioration, de compétitivité et de qualité.

En 1978, Chuck Grindstaff a rejoint pour la première fois la société Unigraphics Solutions, où il a occupé différents postes de R&D au cours des dix premières années qu'il a passées au sein de cette compagnie. Ensuite, avant de revenir travailler chez Unigraphics en 1994, il a été président-directeur général de Waveframe, une société spécialisée dans le développement et la fabrication de systèmes de traitement des signaux numériques destinés à des applications cinématographiques haut de gamme. La Motion Picture Academy of the Arts and Sciences (académie cinématographique des arts et des sciences) lui a décerné un prix Scientific and Engineering Award pour son travail révolutionnaire et son influence à long terme sur l'industrie du cinéma.

Lorsque Chuck Grindstaff est revenu chez Unigraphics en 1994, il a pris la direction de l'unité chargée des produits, avant d'être promu vice-président responsable des produits et des opérations en 2000. En 2001, Unigraphics a fusionné avec Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC) pour former l'éditeur de PLM connu sous le nom d'UGS, que Siemens a acquis en 2007 et rebaptisé Siemens PLM Software.
En octobre 2011, il débute comme Vice-président exécutif.

Chuck Grindstaff a obtenu son diplôme de Bachelor of Science en chimie au Pomona College de Claremont (Californie).
