Françoise, Asistente Ejecutiva

Employee Q & A

As the Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President for Siemens PLM Software's Global GM Account, Françoise interacts with Siemens PLM Software's customers on a regular basis. She not only coordinates meetings, maintains Executive's calendars, arranges travel itineraries and processes expense reports but, as a member of the Siemens PLM Software Regional Diversity Council, she is responsible for a number of Siemens PLM Software community outreach activities in the Detroit area. Whether it is working with Focus Hope on the Gift Tree program for needy families, helping with their annual Walk-a-Thon or leading the annual "Bring Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day", Françoise gets satisfaction from the opportunity to give back to the community where her Siemens PLM Software colleagues work and live.

What's on your desk right now?

A file organizer, calendar, plants, some family photos and of course some water!

What is your typical day like?

Busy, busy, busy! I start my day by checking calendars, e-mails and my task lists, and having a brief meeting with my boss to set the pace for the day. I tend to switch between tasks multiple times throughout the day, so organization and good planning are essential.

What are your typical work hours?

Typically 8:30 to 5:30, with flexibility built in for special circumstances.

What is most challenging about your position?

The variety of different tasks I take on each day, while always learning new skills and information. I'm looked upon to provide answers to a diverse range of questions, so I need to be sure I'm up to date on our business as well as the industry as a whole.

If you could give yourself a new title what would it be?

Superwoman!

What are your favorite things about Siemens PLM Software?

The people! My boss is very supportive and encouraging. While the pace can be intense, it's balanced with plenty of fun! There are great mechanisms in place to interact with our leadership, including regular "Townhalls", which keep team members well informed of Siemens PLM Software business. Making sure employees have ample time to get to know each other and build stronger teams through lunch-and-learn events, the Bring Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, and social events such as our summer company picnic are a key part of the work environment.

What do you like to do outside the office?

I enjoy reading, cooking, yoga, my "Aqua Challenge" classes, getting together with my children and grandchildren, having friends over for dinner. Life is good!
