The Project Workspace window has a page which reports the presence of PMI (Product Manufacturing Information).

Select the "toggle single entry mode" button then the geometry to cycle through PMI with the arrows.
JT Open is a reference to The JT Open Program which is an open, influential community of users, software vendors, and interested parties advocating the use of JT. The JT Open Program members are focused on utilizing JT as an industry interoperability standard format for geometry-centric business processes (workflows) and for enabling viewing and interrogation of design data using JT. JT2Go was developed at the request of JT Open Program members and fulfills a mutual desire to extend JT's value throughout the PLM industry.

Yes, JT2Go was designed to work in harmony with all Teamcenter for lifecycle visualization products. The JT MS Office Application Integration is a shared capability with Teamcenter for lifecycle visualization, but you must choose whether to use JT2Go as a standalone application or the Office Integration as an installed component of Teamcenter lifecycle visualization. Each products installation program will report status on this integration to ensure proper configuration. Installation features have been enhanced in JT2Go 2007.
No, JT2Go is not designed to integrate with Teamcenter. It is a personal viewing tool and cannot interact with (check-in/check-out) any of our PLM products. Teamcenter Visualization offers a complete range of solutions that are tightly integrated with Teamcenter.
Yes, you may re-distribute JT2Go to your friends or colleagues within your organization through email or on an intranet, as long as it remains unaltered. You may not, however, post for download on an external website. Each user must accept the license agreement prior to their first time using the software.

Upgrading your graphic card itself will depend upon your performance needs. It may be necessary to up upgrade your graphic card driver which can be obtained from your vendor.
Due to a change in the MS platform, as of the 2007.1 release of JT2Go there are system files which if not already present on the machine require the user performing the JT2Go installation to have administrative privileges.
In the event system administrators would like to enable all users with the ability to install JT2Go there is a separate Microsoft Visual Studio support file installer which can be installed after which the JT2Go installer will proceed without the administrator right requirements.
The separate Microsoft Visual Studio support file installer is available for download from the Microsoft web site at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=200B2FD9-AE1A-4A14-984D-389C36F85647&displaylang=en.

PLM XML is an open format created by Siemens PLM Software to facilitate product lifecycle interoperability by sharing high-content product data between PLM applications. PLM XML is defined by W3C XML schemas. Find our more here - http://www.plm.automation.siemens.com/en_us/products/open/plmxml/index.shtml
JT2Go can display PLM XML files create from Teamcenter two ways:
A PLM XML file saved from Teamcenter with product structure can be loaded the same as a JT file directly from the disk and displayed. A PLM XML example of this type is available from the Downloads page. This process allows users to define an arrangement of JT content and save it as PLM XML for display.
A PLM XML file saved from Teamcenter without product structure can be merged into a JT2Go session that has an existing JT assembly already loaded and displayed. The merge capability allows JT arrangements to be applied to an existing session to communicate multiple arrangements of data for a pre-loaded JT file. Simply use File, Merge to add PLMXML files.

JT2Go is specifically designed for viewing JT files with the added value of viewing CGM, TIF, DWG, PLM XML, and .VFZ packages from Teamcenter. XpresReview is an electronic design review solution that allows you to easily share multiple documents in a collaborative environment. Supported by NX and Solid Edge, XpresReview uses the PCF file format to easily combine 3D models and other associated documents into a single package, so participants in your review process have all the information they need to communicate effectively. XpresReview supports JT files but JT2Go does not read PCF files.
No. JT2Go does not support markups or model views (Snapshots). Teamcenter Visualization Base supports saving and loading Snapshots while Teamcenter Visualization Standard supports creating and viewing Markups. Learn more about Teamcenter for lifecycle visualization.
Yes, as of the 5.1.0.3a version of JT2Go anyone with JT2Go and Microsoft Office can create JT Documents.
See the JT Documents page for instructions.
The tilde character (~) indicates that the measurement is an approximation from the facet data. Support for precise measurement of the B-REP data is available in our Teamcenter Lifecycle Visualization Base, Standard, Professional and Mockup products.
Yes. The default viewing for assemblies in JT2Go is "All On". This prevents the user experience of a blank display when loading a JT assembly and the need to check the box next to the assembly name in the product structure browser for display. It is possible to turn off the display of geometry when loading assemblies through the environment variable JT2GO_SHOWALL_OFF=True/False. A value of True will result in no geometry being loaded when a JT assembly is retrieved using JT2Go.
You should register for JT2Go. Once you have registered for JT2Go, Siemens PLM Software will send you email messages to notify you of updates to the software. We will not use your email address for excessive marketing or sell it to anyone else. You can then visit the download site and obtain the updated product.
You can also check for updates from within the JT2Go software by clicking on the new "Check for JT2Go Updates" button. The Check for updates only checks to verify that the version the check is initiated from is the same as the version currently on the website. The report does not determine if your version is older or newer, just if it is different.

JT files can be exported from all major CAD systems and translators are available from Siemens PLM Software and 3rd party developers (visit JT Open Member Products for more information). JT is a standard output format for Siemens PLM Software's CAD products Solid Edge and NX and can be automatically created whenever you save a file or even check a file into Teamcenter. See your Siemens PLM Software sales representative or call 800-498 5351 to learn how to purchase JT translators products.
