Compare and Report Product Information
How much of the product is ready for production? Is it over-weight or under-budget? What issues need to be resolved? With Active Workspace, you can very easily investigate these details directly on the 3D product model with a color-coded, easy-to-understand, visual report. Color-coding on the model makes it easier to see how a product meets key metrics, avoiding the need for additional software.
Configure and Share Contexts
Do you have a search you always run, or a report that you keep coming back to? Do you need to share that information with somebody else? Active Workspace includes a new concept called “the shelf”. Simply take your data − whether it is a filtered list of search results, a color-coded visual report, or anything else − and drop it on the shelf. It could be your shelf, another team member’s shelf, or it could even be a shared shelf for the whole team. Once something is on the shelf, anybody else with access can reference the data, confident that the information is accurate and current.
One key to effective collaboration is knowing the right person to collaborate with. Do you need to work with the responsible engineer? Do you want to review a design with somebody on the manufacturing shop floor? Active Workspace will suggest appropriate people for the issues you wish to address. You can then take any piece of information and start collaborating.
