The 3D DCM provides a wide range of constraints for specifying the position and/or shape of cones and tori.
In this fully constrained model, three tori are each concentric and tangent to a cone. A tangent constraint has been applied between adjacent tori.
The minor radius of each torus is specified, but the major radius is unspecified. Its value is determined by the other dimensions in the model. To illustrate this, two dimensions are modified in sequence: (1) the distance between the lowest torus and the fixed base of the cone and (2) the radius of the circle at the top of the cone. In each case, the DCM finds a solution for the new dimension value by modifying the major (spine) radius of the three tori.
