In the first sequence, a bounded distance dimension is used to limit the possible locations of a pin constrained in a slot. The 3D DCM ensures that the distance of the pin from the centre of the slot does not exceed 60 units.

In the second sequence, a bounded distance dimension is used to define the minimum and maximum separations of two blocks that are constrained to slide on a guide rail at 15 units and 70 units respectively. A second bounded distance dimension limits the separation between the left hand block and the end of the guide rail to between 15 and 105 units.

In the final sequence, bounded angle dimensions have been added to an excavator mechanism to specify the angular ranges through which two of its arms can operate. The angle between the first arm (the “boom”) with respect to the horizontal is bounded to vary between 120 and 170 degrees. The angle between the boom and the next arm can vary between 60 and 100 degrees.
