InspectionXpert uniquely numbers dimensions, geometric tolerances and notes on your Solid Edge drawing and then generates quality inspection report forms from the drawing. The inspection sheet fofrms are Excel and XML-based and may be used for quality inspections including first article and in-process inspections.
The Synergy
Just about every company that manufactures products also inspects products. Inspecting products typically requires inspection forms to document the inspection results and ballooned drawings to correspond the product features with the product characteristics to be inspected (i.e. inspection characteristics). Although many companies do this process manually and great cost, the most sensible approach is to automate this process from within the authoring application (i.e. Solid Edge).
As part of the Siemens PLM Software partner program, Extensible CAD Technologies is able to empower Solid Edge users to generate quality inspection forms and ballooned drawings for their Solid Edge drawings directly inside of Solid Edge.
