UGS Announces “UGS Connection”; Expanded Global User Conferences Provide Forum for UGS Customers

Teamcenter, NX, Tecnomatix and Solid Edge Users Leverage Peer Best Practices

PLANO, Texas – UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, today announced “UGS Connection,” a unified global community for annual user conferences.

UGS, in cooperation with national user group organizations, will jointly host UGS Connection annual conferences to globally connect all people who derive and provide value around its products, including users, developers and senior managers. The conferences are designed to help companies stay ahead of their competition and transform their process of innovation through the sharing of best practices from leading experts. Users of UGS products, including Teamcenter, NX, Tecnomatix and Solid Edge, will hear from their peers and UGS subject matter experts.
“UGS Connection is our own Global Innovation Network where our customers can collaborate and share best practices,” said Dave Shirk, executive vice president of Global Marketing, UGS. “We’ve worked with the longstanding user group organizations in each zone to build a world-class conference forum where our customers can share value and realize the value our solutions bring in helping companies transform their process of innovation.”

The 2007 UGS Connection conferences include:

• In the Americas, UGS partners with PLM World, Inc. (www.plmworld.com), an independent, federally chartered organization, to host a national event on April 23-27 in Long Beach, Calif. In addition, UGS in partnership with PLM World will bring together users, developers/partners, and managers in separate tracks at this year’s conference.   
  
• In EMEA, UGS partners with PLM Europe (www.plm-europe.org), an independent, not-for-profit organization, to host an event on Oct. 15-17 in Frankfurt, Germany. 
  
• In Asia Pacific, UGS hosts user events in China, India, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and the ASEAN countries. UGS also collaborates with the local Australian user group to host an annual conference.
